Sunday 27 April 2014

The 2014 NZAP Conference will be hosted by the Philosophy Department at the University of Canterbury from 01-05 December 2014.

The opening address will be given by Justine Kingsbury (Waikato) on the evening of Monday, 1 December, 7.00 - 8.30.  This will be followed by a reception.

The extended deadline for abstract submission is 9 November.
Early Bird registration ends on 9 November.

The Conference is designed to give academics and postgraduate students in philosophy and related subjects the opportunity to present and discuss their papers. All areas of philosophy are welcome. Choose between 60-minute and 90-minute long sessions.

In addition to its academic and professional value, the Conference provides a great opportunity to visit Christchurch in the summer.

Max Cresswell (Victoria) will give a plenary address to coincide precisely with the centenary of A. N. Prior's birth on Thursday, 4 December.  This will be followed by a 100th Birthday celebration party.

The conference will include a Prior stream and a philosophy of biology stream.

We have funding available to assist a limited number of postgraduate students who are enrolled for graduate study at a New Zealand university and who need to travel from within New Zealand. Follow the 'Student Travel Support' link in the menu for more details.
